Kiss Goodbye

from Divinity by Karen Hunter

/

about

Kiss Goodbye was written back in 1992 and this is the second time it has been recorded. For this 2019 version the lyrics have been revisited to bring them up to date with what's going on in today's world.

Kiss Goodbye talks about letting go of old ways of doing things and anything that keeps us apart from people we live our lives with, including ourselves.

lyrics

Kiss Goodbye

Wipe the slate clean, make a new beginning
with everyone you know
Kiss goodbye, to yesterdays arguements
put them in a balloon let them float to the sky

Today is the day for moving on
Yes, you’ve heard me that the time is here and now
We’ve got the choice to keep on growing our love
Until each and every one has what they need to thrive .
Please don’t let anything get in the way,
Don’t let your old and warn out conditioning get in the way

chorus

Listen carefully to what your heart tells you is true
it's the only thing you can rely on, for advice on what to do
every thing that happens has gone, has gone
The most wonderful feeling I know, is the one of moving on,

(Forward) brothers and sisters,
(Forward) hear me when I call out to you (Forward)
Forget the hands of time and move to a place where we can…

chorus

Bridge
Can we see clearly?
Listen deeply?
Be the people we would want to know?
Create our own reality from a place of freedom
With heart that are open to the love in everyone
Black brown white or grey
Straight bi trans gay
Whoever your God is
What ever you believe in
We all fit into some bodies category

And if we’re going to live to gether we’ve got to find a way
If we’re going to listen to each other we’ver got to make today the day to
